Folks, the Hygiene Grade for Utsav Indian restaurant in NYC is out.

B

Yes, it is a shameful B.

Utsav is a B Grade Indian restaurant, according to the wise souls at New York City Health Department.

Utsav Indian restaurant (Located at 1185 Avenue of Americas at W.46th St near Times Square) received the shameful B Grade on April 28, 2011.

Readers of this fine blog may remember that we wrote Utsav’s hygiene grade is pending after it received a whopping 40 Violation Points in March 1, 2011 health inspection.

While issuing the shameful B Grade to Utsav, the NYC Health Department’s report cited among other things:

Evidence of mice or live mice present in facility’s food and/or non-food areas.

Much to the dismay of Indian food lovers, we note that Utsav in Times square is plagued by mice problems as eight consecutive inspection reports of NYC Health Department from 08/21/2008-03/01/2011 raised the issue of mice problems at Utsav facility’s food and/or non-food areas.
