Delhi Palace at 37-33, 74th Street, Jackson Heights, NY has been closed by the New York City Health Department following an inspection of this Indian restaurant on February 3, 2011.
Folks, Delhi Palace received a whopping 50 Violation Points in the NYC health inspection of February 3, 2011.
In its latest inspection too, Delhi Palace is shown to have live roaches and evidence of mice in its food and/or non-food areas among other violations. Live roaches and evidence of mice are critical violations in the NYC Health Department’s lexicon.
Delhi Palace has turned into a serial offender when it comes to the hygiene issues.
Delhi Palace fared badly in its previous inspection (January 19, 2011) too with the NYC Health Dept. report showing Live roaches, evidence of mice et al and awarding the restaurant a total of 55 Violation Points.
How disgusting!

3) Live roaches present in facility’s food and/or non-food areas.
4) Food contact surface not properly washed, rinsed and sanitized after each use and following any activity when contamination may have occurred.
5) Facility not vermin proof. Harborage or conditions conducive to attracting vermin to the premises and/or allowing vermin to exist.
6) Non-food contact surface improperly constructed. Unacceptable material used. Non-food contact surface or equipment improperly maintained and/or not properly sealed, raised, spaced or movable to allow accessibility for cleaning on all sides, above and underneath the unit.
7) Other general violation.
