Diners at Saravanaa Bhavan on Lexington Ave in Murray Hill, NYC face a hygiene nightmare after the Indian vegetarian restaurant fared horribly in the recent inspection (11/16/2010) by the NYC Health Department.
Unhygienic NYC Shit-hole
The restaurant scored a whopping 65 violation points that must prompt all lovers of Indian cuisine to think twice or, maybe even thrice, before heading to this unhygienic shit-hole a.k.a Saravanaa Bhavan.
Besides showing evidence of mice and live roaches in its food and/or non-food areas, Saravanaa Bhavan located at 81 Lexington Ave is also not vermin-proof.
Indian Restaurant or Indian Shit-Hole?
As if mice, live roaches and vermin issues were not bad enough, food contact surface at Saravanaa Bhavan is not properly washed, rinsed and sanitized after each use and following any activity when contamination may have occurred.
Worse, raw, cooked or prepared food is adulterated, contaminated, cross-contaminated, or not discarded in accordance with HACCP plan.
NYIndia strongly recommends diners stay away from Saravanaa Bhavan in the interest of maintaining their good health.
