Darbar Grill Review – Satanic Curse on NYC Diners
Raw, cooked or prepared food is adulterated, contaminated, cross-contaminated and/ or not discarded at Darbar Grill NYC, says the New York City Health Department after inspecting this Indian restaurant on January 6, 2010.
Further, the NYC Health Dept. inspection report of January 6, 2010 also noted that food contact surface at Darbar Grill is not properly maintained, or not washed, rinsed and sanitized after each use and following any activity when contamination may have occurred.
Darbar Grill Indian restaurant in Midtown East Manhattan received 20 Violation Points and passed the NYC Health Dept. inspection of January 6, 2010.
To pass the NYC Health Dept. inspection, a restaurant must receive 27 Violation Points or less.
Sanitary Violations observed at Darbar Grill during the January 6, 2010 inspection:
1.) Non-food contact surface improperly constructed. Unacceptable material used. Non-food contact surface or equipment improperly maintained.
2.) Sanitized equipment or utensil, including in-use food dispensing utensil, improperly used or stored.
3.) Food contact surface not properly maintained, or not washed, rinsed and sanitized after each use and following any activity when contamination may have occurred.
4.) Raw, cooked or prepared food is adulterated, contaminated, cross-contaminated and/ or not discarded in accordance with HACCP plan.
The NYC Dept. of Health said a Notice of Violation was not issued as a result of this inspection but the violation point total received by Darbar Grill is above the average violation point total of 14 for all NYC restaurants on their most recent inspection.
