Bombay Bistro Food Not Protected from Potential Source of Contamination; Fails NYC Health Inspection

Food at Bombay Bistro, NYC is not protected from potential source of contamination, says the New York City Health Department after conducting an inspection of this Midtown East Manhattan Indian restaurant on September 9, 2009.

The NYC Health Dept. inspection report of September 9, 2009 also noted that pesticide use at Bombay Bistro is not in accordance with label or applicable laws.

Fails NYC Health Inspection
Bombay Bistro Indian Restaurant located at 155 East 52nd St in Manhattan received 33 Violation Points in its September 9, 2009 inspection and failed the NYC Health Dept. inspection.

Further, according to NYC Health Dept. inspection report of September 9, 2009, prohibited chemical used/stored and open bait station is used at Bombay Bistro.

To pass the NYC Health Dept. inspection, a restaurant must receive 27 Violation Points or less.

By receiving received 33 Violation Points in its September 9, 2009 inspection, Bombay Bistro Indian Restaurant failed the NYC Health Dept. inspection.

Sanitary Violations observed at Bombay Bistro NYC during Sept 9, 2009 inspection:

1.) Pesticide use not in accordance with label or applicable laws. Prohibited chemical used/stored. Open bait station used.
2.) Food not protected from potential source of contamination during storage, preparation, transportation, display or service.

The NYC Dept of Health said a Notice of Violation was not issued as a result of this inspection and that the violation point total received by Bombay Bistro is above the average violation point total of 14, for all NYC restaurants on their most recent inspection.

But Bombay Bistro Indian Restaurant requires Compliance Inspection according to NYC Health Dept’s September 9, 2009 inspection report.
