Surya NYC Review – Lousy Food; So-So Service
Surya Indian restaurant located on Bleeker St in downtown Manhattan has now passed the New York City Health Dept restaurant inspection conducted on January 12, 2009.
To pass the NYC Health Dept. inspection, a restaurant must receive 27 violation points or less.
By receiving 22 violation points in the January 12, 2009 inspection, Surya passed the NYC Health Dept restaurant inspection. This is a considerable improvement over Surya’s previous NYC Health Dept inspection of November 20, 2008, which the restaurant failed after receiving 47 violation points.
The latest NYC Health inspection report noted that Violations were cited in the following area(s) and those requiring immediate action were addressed.
But the details about violations at Surya in the 1/12/2009 inspection were not provided by the NYC Health Dept.
The NYC Department of Health said a notice of Violation was not issued as a result of the January 12, 2009 inspection. However, the violation point total of Surya is above the average violation point total of 16, for all NYC restaurants on their most recent inspection.
