Delhi Heights – Food Not Protected from Potential Source of Contamination: NYC Health Dept
Food at Delhi Heights Indian restaurant in NYC is not protected from potential source of contamination during storage, preparation, transportation, display or service, says the NYC Health Department after it inspected the restaurant on February 13, 2009.
Delhi Heights Indian restaurant on 74th St in Jackson Heights, New York received 18 violation points, an improvement over the 29 and 57 Violation Points that it received in the previous inspections of January 13, 2009 and November 24, 2008 respectively.
A NYC restaurant needs a score of 27 or less to pass the NYC Health Dept inspection. Delhi Heights passed the restaurant inspection by receiving 18 points.

Delhi Heights NYC Not Vermin Proof, Has Evidence of Rats or Live Rats
There is evidence of rats or live rats in the food and/or non-food areas of Delhi Heights Indian restaurant in Jackson Heights, according to a recent Inspection Report of the New York City Department of Health.
Delhi Heights Indian restaurant on 74th St in Jackson Heights, New York is not vermin proof and has evidence of rats or live rats in the facility’s food and/or non-food areas, says the NYC Health Department following its inspection of this restaurant on January 13, 2009.
Delhi Heights is owned by Mike Narula, according to the restaurant’s web site.
The NYC Health Department also found that at Delhi Heights hand washing facility is not provided in or near food preparation area and toilet room.
By receiving 29 Violation Points, Delhi Heights failed the NYC Health Department Inspection of January 13, 2009. A NYC restaurant needs a
Surya Indian restaurant located on Bleeker St in downtown Manhattan has now passed the New York City Health Dept restaurant inspection conducted on January 12, 2009.
To pass the NYC Health Dept. inspection, a restaurant must receive 27 violation points or less.
By receiving 22 violation points in the January 12, 2009 inspection, Surya passed the NYC Health Dept restaurant inspection. This is a considerable improvement over Surya’s previous NYC Health Dept inspection of November 20, 2008, which the restaurant failed after receiving 47 violation points.
